(Gen 7:11 KJV) In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
Taking the ‘windows of heaven’ literally would be a big mistake, since there really are no 'windows' in heaven… it is added simply as part of the allegorical and metaphorical colour of language to convey concepts. However, that being said, taking the words of the Old Testament with regard to Heaven may be the end of the matter, but it is certainly not the end of the spirit.
Heaven in the New Testament is perceived as a spiritual realm where everything is perfect and if not paradise on earth, it must have some heavenly equivalent somewhere in another space or perhaps in the same space but at a different frequency. Just like radio waves can share the same space, but can only be perceived by those in tune.
There is no way I can deny the spiritual world, I have had personal encounters on a number of occasions and have been continually mystified by them for most of my life. Voices, even choirs, beyond my own conscious thinking and hearing have often touched me at times in my life, sometimes invited and at other times uninvited and sometimes heeded and oftentimes unheeded to my detriment….Who knows if this is mental delusion or schizophrenia or brain cells firing off at weird times or perhaps the influence of hallucinogenic chemicals accidentally imbibed in the air, water or food?
I’d like to think I am a rational man (wouldn’t we all), but the truth is… for every answer you will find on the ‘internet’ you will also find a contradiction…
Eventually the internet will become a useless database of information that no-one can trust. Sure the truth may be out there... but so is a whole swag of lies, deception, personal delusions and agendas.
Just because the majority believe something does not make it true, it just means that it fits in with the ‘conditioned thinking’ of the age… so who can we turn to… for the truth… if not our maker?
I am a man who believes that everything is possible WITH God… yet I see few people on this earth that are truly WITH God… most seem to be exploiting the planet and the people with teachings and works for money and fame. I am also a man that loves Jesus, simply because he was true to his faith and never exploited anyone… yet Jesus was not a Christian, Jesus was a Jew, so did Jesus with the power of God create a new ‘Spiritual Heaven’ (a parallel spiritual (invisible) paradise in a parallel universe) or just prepare another place - perhaps an island paradise on earth… maybe... America, before Pilgrims and Gold diggers arrived?
Given his God-like powers, both these options seem plausible - but that still brings us back to the point of - who on earth is good enough to enter into a ‘Spiritual Heaven’ and When you shuffle off this mortal coil…. What is left of you in spirit that can move and how?
(John 14:3-6 KJV) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
