(Eccl 5:2 KJV) Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.
Sadly, I have written many words here… which was never my intention, my preference is for silence… and yet… There have been many reports of people having out of the body experiences, I have experienced this - so cannot deny this. Also there have been many reports of people near death having been taken to some spiritual realm of light and others being taken to the fires of hell or nothingness. In 1994, I listened as my 12 year old son dying of Leukaemia in the ICU of a Children’s hospital gave a similar report of hell, post miraculous recovery. In 2007, I also witnessed my dying mother spend night after night in conversation with invisible visitors while she was dying, admittedly she was on opiates post operative breast cancer. The cancer never killed her, it was the painful after effects of the operation, neglect in hospital and eventually starvation (but that is another story).
Sure we could write-off these “experiences” as brain cells dying or the influence of drugs… generating visual, aural and olfactory illusions in the brain… but isn’t this just our way of brushing this stuff under the medical carpet so we don’t have to deal it?
My real issue with Christian concepts of ‘Spiritual Heaven’ is this…. Why bother?
Why put all of humanity through this sinful earth realm, if it is all just a sifting ground to see who is good enough to get into ‘Spiritual Heaven’ and who would be good fuel for hell?
So many unanswered questions… the opposite page has just a few...
1.How does a disembodied spirit travel about the universe… on legs? (seems unlikely)
2.By what mechanism does a disembodied spirit project itself? (without a springboard)
3.Does spirit flow like EMR drawn to other energies or scattered throughout space?
4.If you take the body away, what powers the spirit or the imagination? (once ‘free’)
5.What empowers spirits? Light, water, fire, fission, love, will, what?
6.If a realm exists in which everything is perfectly ONE - who on earth could possibly get in - especially given the bigotry of religion, the covetousness of humanity and the confusion surrounding entry requirements?
7.And once in this ‘Spiritual Heaven’ - what do disembodied or re-embodied spirits do then?
8.Do we just praise God? (Seems a bit unnecessary - since in ‘Spiritual Heaven’ we would be integrally ONE with God, so maybe we just create a new earth and start again. Why can’t we just continue living down here and praise (thank) God now?
9.My father died at 64 (1988), my mother at 79 (2007) at what age would they be in heaven or would they be timeless, pure spirits without foibles and if so, how would I ever recognise them, especially if I left my memory behind in my dead brain?
10.And if we take all our memories with us (God forbid)… why is ‘Spiritual Heaven’ going to be any better than the mess we have created down here on earth since our divisive thinking is the root of all our problems?
(Mat 26:64 KJV) Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
