(Gen 1:8 KJV)  And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

According to Strongs Dictionary - in Hebrew “Heaven” is shamayim, shaw-mah'-yim; dual of an unused sing.  shameh, shaw-meh'; from an unused root mean. to be lofty; the sky (as aloft; the dual perh. alluding to the visible arch in which the clouds move, as well as to the higher ether where the celestial bodies revolve):--air, X astrologer, heaven (-s).

Human hope and imagination can defy all rational thought… where did the belief that we die and go to heaven, come from?

1.When we are sick or physically disabled it is hard enough to live, so how can we live when the body has ceased to function?
2.If the human soul is re-cycled with a new kind of body at death, then why do we pay doctors to make us well and why did Jesus and his disciples bother to heal anyone?
3.If there is a spiritual state after death, what kind of a life is this without a healthy body and without the ones you love or the attachments you have accumulated in this life?
4.How does an after death soul / spirit see, hear, touch, taste, smell and remember who we are without the body, the senses and the brains activity?
5.Like a CD without a player, given the choice of being disembodied or embodied, most ‘spirits’ would choose your body and your life, rather than be lost in the library of soul tracks.
6.Having witnessed my dead father, my comatose son and my mother suffering from memory loss - I fail to see how their death could improve their condition or their life.  This would be like saying a broken radio thrown in the garbage and put through the crushing machine -  magically plays tunes on the other side…

.It is a work of fiction, without bodily health we have ‘disability’ and without ‘life’… we have lost memories. So where do these incapacitating, deceptive and delusive ‘fairy’ stories come from?

(Deu 30:19 KJV)
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

This seems straight forward, life and death, no mention of a heavenly alternative here.

(Deu 32:39-40 KJV)
See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

God lives forever. Death is what makes us mortal.  Nowhere is it written that Elijah and Jesus or anyone else for that matter died and went to heaven. They both lived and went to heaven. See also: (Rev 11:11-12 KJV). Read the word... Noah LIVED 950 years. What chance of becoming a butterfly without first living the full life of a caterpillar?

So what chance of a heaven without a body living true to touch the prophetic life?  `

(Luke 17:20-21 KJV)  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said,
The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
