On another page I have likened the human mind to a video/TV set, but this is a vast underestimation, it is more like a virtual machine, since having watched my own mind it is like an incubation unit that stimulates and simulates the growth of seeded ideas… such that it needs only to be fed a little and it runs off on its own and can create images of other phantasmagorical worlds and eventually come back with the answer “42”... because it knows not how or why, it does what it does.
In so many ways this “mortal machine” in which we dwell is much like our modern day analogue and digital designs. Most computers these days consist of multiple processors running in parallel, such that the processor with responsibility for producing graphics can continue uninterrupted while the processor with the responsibility for retrieving data from memory can work more efficiently in parallel. All of this takes great co-ordination by the operating system to ensure the sequencing is retained, so we see that the heart of a computer is its clock, which governs the sequencing of events, without which chaos would reign…
Comparing this design to the nature of man we see that he has a heart that pumps blood to every living cell in the body at a regular rhythm, but this in itself is not enough, energy must be supplied from the flow of oxygen which we exchange with the world around us, likewise computers must be powered by the flow of electricity… ultimately it all involves the exchange of electrons… How does the human body convert the analogue movement of the lung bellows to that which empowers our nerve cells and memory?
Meanwhile back at the power station, coils motorized by coal, steam or gas fires, pass through magnetic fields to generate alternating movements of electrons across a nationwide grid, or solar cells or chemical cells are designed to maintain a potential difference that creates a flow of electrons… What has all this to do… with where thou art?
Where is the ‘soul’ of your computer… is it in the graphics card, the network card, the CPU, the system clock, the User interface… where?
And where is your soul… in the visual cortex, the larynx, the brain, the heart or the skin?
Many of us today are computer users… I wonder how happy the computer would be if it realized that it is being used?
And what of you dear reader, how happy would you be if you realized that you were just a ‘free range’ virtual processing unit being used by a higher intelligence, downloading your activities every night to the cloud?
Truth is… everything in creation is being used and if it isn’t… it is useless and disposable.Ultimately we are all products of that which creates and empowers us... the flow of potential universal energy from the alpha to the omega. aka: the spirit of God, Our Father.
