(Gen 3:24 KJV)
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep ‘the way’ of the tree of life.

Only through choosing to live in accordance with the tree of life can men aspire to paradise… but only ‘perfect’ men will be allowed to partake.

Noah was considered a ‘perfect’ man - few people seem to ask what was so special about Noah that allowed him to live while every man, woman and child on the face of the earth were wiped out?  God literally obliterated everyone, except Noah and his family and those living creatures he salvaged on the Ark…. Why?

This seems unbelievably harsh, surely there must have been some innocent babes more worthy of saving…than Noah?

Yet purity or innocence has never been about age or flesh and blood, it has always been about “faith” or “allegiance” to life’s greater purpose and to our creator...  Which is the opposite of "sin". There is no record of Noah asking the world to repent, he just built a boat, did what he was commanded to do and then the rains came and everyone else drowned. He was saved because he was a ‘perfect’ man… that is “perfect” in the eyes of God.

In other passages of scripture we see endless warnings by prophets and saints, telling men and women to repent and mend their ways… why?

The principle reason is that God (our creator) does not really want to destroy us, does anyone who creates something out of love ever want to destroy it. Does any loving father wish to destroy his children?

No No No - ah!!!

Here we see the whole meaning of the mystery of Jesus, his mission, his crucifixion and his resurrection - if we look beyond the religious rhetoric.

Through the ‘perfect man’ Noah, the world was destroyed while he was salvaged.

Through the ‘perfect man’ Jesus, the world was salvaged while he was destroyed.

Jesus literally saved the world from destruction again… though what he really did was buy humanity time to change its ways and he provided the educational resources through his disciples and the gospels for humanity to see the error of its ways…

Can any child be blamed for their evil ways in the absence of their good father?

No man, woman or child should really be convicted of a crime when they have not been taught right from wrong… though it is written that ignorance of the law is no excuse. Hence the reason for the line… “
father forgive them for they know not what they do”.

The gospel is about spreading the ‘good news’ of God our father, who loves us and proved it this time by not destroying us and by giving us a reprieve to repent and mend our wicked ways… such is the Grace of God… but it will only last until the gospel has been preached to the ends of the earth… then we have no more excuses for our sin.

(Rev 2:7 KJV)
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
