(Gen 6:17 KJV) And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
Let’s get at least one thing straight…
Humankind did not create the exploding atom, the universe, the sun, the earth or even the moon… Not only so, but humankind did not create the seed, the plant, the dinosaur, the fish, the beast of the field or the winged bird….. Not only so, but humankind did not create the eye, the ear, the nose, the tongue or the flesh… Not only so, but humankind did not create the vagina, the penis, the egg, the sperm or the micro cellular thing they call DNA.
Not only so but humankind did not create their breath or the number of days of their life….
So what did humankind create?
Well as it is written…. after God made everything:
(Gen 3:7 KJV) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
It is actually laughable… yes…. we made aprons...
Not only do we make coverings from what God created, but we stand back and admire our handiwork and dismiss the provision of the leaves we use, as an accident..
Truth is, we don’t really create anything… we manipulate what God has already made. It seems that the opening of the human eye and manipulation go eye in hand.
Imagine if your father or mother had spent the whole day preparing a meal for you to eat and when you arrive at the table, you dismiss their banquet as an accident and proceed to gorge yourself without respect and rip up the table cloth to make coverings and other trivial things for yourself.
So, one has to ask the question why would a loving father flood the earth and destroy all of creation? And was Noah… really the only just and perfect man in his generation?
(Gen 6:12-13 KJV) And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
One could also ask the question why would a loving Jesus turn over tables in the temple?
What does anyone do with an idea or piece of creativity that does not turn out the way one intended? If one cannot salvage it, by turning it around (repentance), one usually destroys it and maybe, starts again….
(Mat 24:38-39 KJV) For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
