(Gen 3:8 KJV)  And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

Without communication we are all alone, worse still we are hopelessly lost and struggle to find purpose and a way through this life…
Most creatures communicate either to find a mate, in fear of danger or to express the joy of being alive... This is achieved through colour, movement, song, scent and many other subtle sensual ways… indeed Angels are considered the messengers of God, how so?

If we are lost in a big City, we may gamble and ask a stranger or use a trusted guide or a policeman to show us the way. Alternatively, we may just drift and enjoy the experience or let our pride keep us in denial.

To communicate a message over distance with anyone requires certain things:
1.Some kind of portal or opening through which a communication vehicle can leave our being.
2.Some way of modulating whatever passes through this portal such that we can encode our message upon it.
3.The capability to frame a message in memory before encoding and transmitting.
4.Some kind of reason or motivation to frame a message in the first place.

A primal scream (a yell) or an uninterrupted expression of the sound “Om” is not really an encoded message, though it may reflect another’s expression of pain or desire for peace.

Yet if no-one receives the encoded message, then no matter how loud or how constantly we repeat it, it is just noise.

To communicate a message we need a recipient, with:
1.Some kind of portal or opening through which a communication vehicle can enter their being.
2.Some way of filtering out background noise of whatever passes through this portal such that they can decode our message only.
3.The capability to frame the message in memory after receiving and decoding.
4.Some kind of reason or motivation to hear the message in the first place.

Even with all this capability we need two other vital things before communication can succeed. Firstly we need to ensure that the message is sent to the intended recipient, this can be achieved by prefixing the message with their identifier (name and address).

Secondly we need to ensure that both parties share the same encoding protocol (language). Trust like faith requires a prolonged state of being on the same wavelength.

So if we don’t pray to God by name or in the right language, whose fault is it, when our communion is lost? And when he communes with us, whose fault is it that we don’t hear?

(John 18:37 KJV)  Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered,
Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
