(Exo 4:1 KJV) And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.
No-one wants to believe a lie, yet some believe that ‘truth’ is whatever they believe and others believe that what they believe is the ‘truth’. So what is belief?
Belief is the ‘foundation’ from which humanity changes the world, for better or worse. It consists of images and visions in the minds of men that are ‘deemed to be true’ and are brought to fruition through the human will and whole hearted conviction (faith).
For every belief that is brought to fruition, there are a million that fail for lack of whole hearted (spiritual) conviction and rightly so.
Belief in something that is not true is considered paranoia. Yet many ‘paranoid’ people achieve ‘great victories’ albeit temporary.
In the absence of ‘truth’… belief and whole hearted conviction (willfulness) are probably the most dangerous combination for ‘evil’ on the planet and are the foundation for witchcraft and all other manner of human desire fulfillment at the expense of others.
Consider ‘Adolf Hitler’ - a ‘great leader’ or a ‘mad man’ that millions of willing believers followed and consequently elevated?
And what of all the other ‘great’ world leaders and ‘thinkers’ in which people have believed: Obama, Bush; Nixon; The Kennedys; Eisenhower; Lincoln; Kings, Queens, Caesars, Pharaohs, Einstein, Da Vinci, Plato, Buddha, Mohammed, Zoroaster, etc.
And so we come back to Moses - a ‘prophet’ touched by God or a ‘lunatic’ magician?
And what of Jesus - a miraculous man who spoke the truth or a deluded vagrant?
Like I said, no-one really wants to believe a lie, yet most people will believe a lie over the truth, if they find the truth unbelievable. And there lies the problem: Truth becomes unbelievable because we are led to believe otherwise and once this happens we need to be born again or become like little children again, before we can believe what is right in front of our eyes that we have overlooked under mass hypnosis.
The universe, the earth and life are a magical construct. The metamorphosis of a sluggish caterpillar through suspended liquefaction into a sleek and aerodynamic butterfly is a miracle beyond any mans imagination, capability or belief… yet true. The sowing of a tiny seed into the earth and the provision of rain and sunlight producing a miraculous growth and a massive tree bearing flowers and fruit that feeds humanity, another miracle beyond any mans imagination, capability or belief…. yet true.
Whether you believe it or not, something greater than ‘humanity’ is clearly at work here, beyond human imagination, capability or belief…That is the truth of the God that you do not know and in so doing, look and look and never see… the evidence… to believe.
(Mat 24:23-25 KJV) For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.
