When any man tries to overcome the law of gravity by leaping from a building, the consequences are almost immediate; he will plummet to his death, unless he cheats nature in some way. Cheating and sin are synonymous. The natural universe functions along a karmic law of equal and opposite effect to any force that does not align with universal growth or will of God. When humanity imposes its ‘will’ by force upon nature and God, we see an immediate resistance and opposite effect.
It is said that the aborigines have lived in Australia for over 50,000 years - despite the apparently harsh vegetation and poisonous wild life their lives had a natural order and their laws were passed by word, from generation to generation. Like so many ancient tribes, the aborigines had no written ‘book of the law’ - perhaps if they had, they would have been treated with more respect and not beaten into submission by religious judges and laws imposed to ‘civilize’ them along with fear and ‘weapons of mass destruction’.
Human Laws only bring order if those laws are faithfully followed - without willing obedience such laws are a waste of time, as people go their own way and chaos ensues. But one cannot say that chaos will ensue to a people that lived on a continent for 50,000 years. In truth, their sustainability validates their way of life. Especially when one considers that the latter rules imposed that destroyed their way, came from the European continent that sought ‘new worlds’ because the ‘old world’ had failed to adopt the Judaeo-Christian ‘book of love’, in so many ways and in less than 300 years, this ‘new’ way has proved unsustainable by its very consumerism.
Some say, but the aborigines only lived at most 50 years. Why is this a problem? Beautiful butterflies only live for a few weeks, does this make them any less significant? What is the purpose of maintaining a human life beyond its natural "use-by" date? Currently there are over 7 billion people consuming this planet, there is scarce enough food to feed them, so why do we insist on making a long life our primary goal? The old need to get out of the way, so the young can live better lives. We are not gods destined to cheat death and live forever, we are deluded encapsulations of God failing to live true to our nature. Adam was told to go forth and multiply because he was one of few upon the planet, God would not give the same command to a plague of humanity that is consuming the earth. That is why we needed law, because we are irresponsible, lost to our own bad habits, stupidity and sin. If we get rid of our sinful nature, we no longer need to live under law, we live right by God and are willing to go wherever the spirit leads us. Good governance would put an end to the need for charity and contra-wise if we all practiced loving our neighbour, it would put an end to the need for governance and governments… and this was exactly Jesus’ living message for the kingdom coming.
The natural laws of God are self regulating and do not need to be ‘policed’ or imposed. Alignment with these natural laws is of great benefit to the individual and all life. Breaking or bending these natural laws is like cheating, you may gain short term, but the ‘knock-on’ effect will eventually come back to hurt you, your neighbour and future generations. Look around, open your eyes and ears.

This is the first and great commandment.And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
