(Gen 1:22 KJV) And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
It is estimated that there are currently (in 2012)… 7 billion people on earth and 7 billion arable acres…
Imagine if you were the father of humanity and had to manage the sharing of the earth between all your offspring… how could this be achieved?
Simple maths says everyone should have one arable acre each - problem solved.... If only ‘life’ were so simple… firstly humanity are not the only species on the planet… so what about all the other plants and animals, how many acres do they get?
So… imagine if you were the father (aka: God) over all existence every single celled organism and every multicellular organism and had to manage the sharing of the earth between all your creatures… how could this be achieved?
(Gen 26:12 KJV) Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.
Without doubt nature abundantly produces (multiplies) when given a ‘good’ environment in which to reproduce. Where the definition of ‘good’ is predetermined by the environmental requirements of the species…. When these are met it is good, when they are not met, it is not good to reproduce, it is probably a good time to move, change or be removed. The flow of money in the world economic system mimics the flow of natural resources around the globe…
The cycles of air, water and seasonal fruiting after investing time and energy in seedtime, pruning and harvest. Unfortunately, if the earth does not grow and the quantity of ‘good’ (arable) soil does not keep pace with the population growth then something has to give… either our offspring must change or something must die.
Nationalistic ideologies and those who cannot see beyond their own racist and species’ bigotry draw a virtual circle around their “own” (that is people that agree with their ideologies) and justify their solution of extermination of people and species. Indeed even in religious circles the lost outnumber the saved and very few people made it onto Noah’s Ark. Though a flood from heaven is divinely more acceptable, than an invasion of murderous forces from anyones delusional ‘fatherland’. From Biblical history we see that Noah lived 950 years and that Jesus was murdered at 33, while from modern history we see that Hitler killed himself in his bunker at 56. Why is this important? Firstly because when natural resources are stretched beyond capacity… something has to give… either in the structure and or in the behaviour of those things under duress. Secondly, because there are only so many ways to solve this problem economically… the number one way….. is to reduce the numbers, the second is revolution and redistribution… embracing the all consuming ways of hell and the world.
A better way offered by Jesus, that may just stop us from killing one another, so we spend our LIVING years in peace....was to increase the ‘good’ soil and our fruitfulness by aligning with our maker (our father) in faith... embracing the provisional economics of heaven and earth...
(Mat 13:8-9 KJV) But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
