Just the other day the automatic transmission in my car began to fail, I didn’t drive the car for two weeks and when I tried to drive it, the automatic transmission was still broken… why is that?… Why is it that we humans with all our intelligence cannot yet make things that automatically repair themselves when rested?
Seems to me that ‘human self-consciousness’ has little to do with ‘real’ life. We make no conscious effort to be born, to grow or to breathe…to drop eggs or manufacture sperm… All the important things in our lives are automatically organic or “ruled over” by something other than our ‘deluded self’… The best ‘human self conscious’ can ever hope for, is some kind of (faithful) alignment with the natural workings of the human body and its relationship with its living environment, ad infinitum, aka God. Contrawise, if ‘human self consciousness’ does not work with its nature and nature, ad infinitum… it finds itself at war (and this is the nature of human sin) and such a war is hopeless because delusion cannot overcome truth, it can only bury it, maybe for a few days, but sure as eggs are eggs and sperm are sperm, truth will rise and rule the day and all delusion will die... Am often amused at theories of ‘life’ being an accident… this is such a deluded denial of the reality… the key difference between an accident and a pre-determined event is that an accident is a one off… If life were an accident… why does it keep repeating itself and refining itself, over and over again?
The main topic of this article was ‘over and under’ because it seems to me that most of human dysfunction can be put down to these imbalances between our inner nature and our outer nature…
When we over-work we injure ourselves, when we under-work we grow weak… somewhere in the middle there is a life balance. Every human soul enters this life as a ‘cell’, does a monkey or a bird or a cockroach or a bacteria… enter this life any differently… there but for the grace of God, you could have been born a cockroach… Cockroaches live for about 2 years… before the spirit of life discards their shell... You rarely see an unfit or unhealthy cockroach… why is that? Did cockroaches create themselves, did bacteria?… What choice do any of these creatures have in their existence? And if they had any choice… would they not choose to be human?
The greatest threat to the sustainability of life on this planet is the threat of human over-population, combine that with over-consumption and under-production of natural resources and you have a recipe for end times. The greatest human gift is our capability to know our life’s purpose, our creator and live a good life in harmony with it… One has to ask... why didn’t Jesus embrace the Roman way of life, or why didn’t Moses embrace the Egyptian way of life or why didn’t Abraham embrace the way of Sodom and perhaps why didn’t Noah embrace the world as it was? Like ancient Taoists, Jesus, Moses, Abraham & Noah embraced the natural order of things. Noah was considered a perfect man, Abraham was considered Gods friend, Moses was considered the most humble man on earth and Jesus is considered Gods son… and he showed us the way to be likewise…..through total commitment in love, which is faith.
(Mat 21:21-22 KJV) Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
