This is the first Biblical reference to “invention” or man made “things”, up until this point everything was made and provided by God: The heavens, the earth, all living things, men and women. So why does humanity feel obliged to extend its nature with materialism and use its imagination to manipulate the rule of their maker and cheat on the nature of life?
(Gen 6:5-6 KJV) And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Surely… Materialism (Mammon) is the opiate of the Godless.
Maybe this chapter should be renamed “Evilution”, because the twisted nature of “evil” has exponentially twisted the nature of “evil” such that “evil” is no longer recognised for what it is… The real nature of “evil” is untruth, denial, deception, lying, cheating an overruling of the provision of life and the natural laws implicit in creation. A willful disobedience…. if you will.
(Luke 12:33-34 KJV) Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
The tree of knowledge brings man-made invention; the tree of life brings natural evolution. Which of man’s inventions or material extensions is truly beneficial to life?
Clothes, cover the pores of our skin and restrict the free exchange of air. They often constrict the capillaries of the blood, causing spots, stagnation and disease. They impede sunlight and the natural tanning of the skin, such that the skin becomes pale and hyper sensitive to any future natural exposure… Clothes also require additional maintenance…
Washing machines, consume unnecessary water resources and utilise detergents that pollute the environment, not to mention the power consumption and waste products of our coal, petrol and nuclear ‘power’ generators, etc.
The list is of mans inventions is endless and name one thing humanity has invented that contributes to life… our inventions generally contribute to the “comfort” and “pleasures” of a world on its way to hell…. And maybe that’s its purpose, since the more comfortable we are, the less likely we will even notice or care to change. Invention weakens our evolution, props our deficiencies, ruins our generational DNA (seed) and blinds us to nature and God. The only way humanity can really contribute to life, is to work with heaven, by growing and evolving naturally, in faith.
(Mat 4:8-10 KJV) Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
